Melabev began as an all-volunteer organization, and continues to rely heavily on its corp ot volunteers.  Become part of this exclusive group!

Melabev has several openings for able and willing volunteers.  Some positions are available on an "as need" basis, while others can be steady and long term.

  1. Drive someone happy!  If you have a car, you could transport our elderly participants between their home and the Melabev day care centers
  2. In the day care centers, you could work directly with the elderly
  3. In the offices - the administration office or the public relations office needs both Hebrew and English speakers
  4. Committee for the Friends of Melabev - you could help with planning the Walkathon and possibly other events.
  5. For young women seeking National Service (Sherut Leumi) placement - consider working with the "grandparents" in our day care centers.

Whatever your age, if you volunteer in Melabev you too might find it the elixir to a long life as some of our outstanding veteran volunteers have!

    Shalom be shem Yeshua!

We are Christian family from the Ukraine. There are two adopted Jewish children into our family and 5 Jewish children were fostered + two own children. Our older adopted daughter ( mental retarded) is living in the Jerusalem for a six years under care of the non-profit organization “Shekel” and other Jewish children are on the way of aliyah to Israel this summer.

So we as non-Jewish people would like to be useful in the homeland of our adopted children. For this aim we (a rest of family) are looking for a legal long-term volunteer possibility to serve : husband (41 years old,wife-36 years old, children – 14 and 15 years old. All participants are like to do a volunteer work.

I have been in Israel for a seven times and was involved in a social activities.

Please give us to know about any such volunteer possibility. Any future details or questions are welcome.

In any case we wish for all of your team God's blesings for your service to people.

    Toda raba.

    Dear Naomi,

Last year I found a very interesting article In Jerualem Post about Chana Loecher " The litle Dutch girl ",and so I learn about Melabev -

I am living in Jerusalem, and I was volunteer four years at Frankfurter Center , but I interrupted because my son made iahard depresia and I dedicated all my time to be near him and help him. Know he is OK, Baruch Hashem , and because I'm living quite isolated from the society - because I have diffiiculty with hebrew language, even in Romania .I was more than 26 years translater and interpreter for german language in a project and researc Institute for pulp, paper and fibres, and I.m speaking english and french languages ,too, I repeat that is difficult to speak and understand [ I'm reading and writing ] hebrew ] so that 's the reason that I ''m living about alone even I'm not suffering about that because I'm very active,I work at computer, I have a hobby - painting - but I repeat, after I was reading this article I looked for Melabev in computer and I find that if you accept to volunteering by you,it will be helpful for the Organization and in same time for me.

I'm not more so young but I'm feeling better as I was 40 [ then I suffered with a terrible migrena ] and I wish to meet you,to have a short talk and you will decide where can I be useful .

    Thank you

    Frida
