The Friends of Melabev is a committee of volunteers who organize fundraising and awareness raising events to benefit the many services of MELABEV. Members of the committee include: Rose Anis, Nina Cohen, Tabby Corre, Anne Dove, Arleen Eidelman, Estelle Fink, Susan Fried, Ida Fry, Edie Gelman, Jedidja and Micha Gross, Joan Lavie, Miriam Litke, Ruth Richman, Bonnie Segal, Jan Sokolovsky, Diane Spitz and Sylvia Wallis.
The unique Virtual Dinner and the "Don't Forget Us" Walkathon, founded by Bernie and Fran Alpert and the Wasserman Family are two of the major annual fundraisers that help keep MELABEV a Leader in Alzheimer's Care. The Walkathon committee is led Joy and Harvey Chesterman, Judy Cohen, Ida Fry, and David Schoenfeld.
Nancy Brown, Chairperson of the Friends of Melabev was invited to City Hall to receive a special designation of honor on their behalf from the Mayor of Jerusalem in 2009.
In Beit Shemesh among the volunteers who help coordinate local fundraising and public awareness are: Judy Clark, Ruth Levitz, Miriam Solomon, Eve Wimpfheimer and Rena Yudkowsky.
