Once again, Melabev Beit Shemesh held its annual Mock Pesach Seder at the Zinman Matnas. The members enjoyed a vivid and animated description of the ten plagues by Rabbi Asher Channen who is a well-known teacher and lecturer in the Beit Shemesh area. Children and grandchildren were invited to Melabev and group participation was encouraged as they all re-lived the miracles and escape from Egypt.
The group dipped and leaned and sang a rousing rendition of the Four Questions and Dayenu. Egg matza and grape juice were served as well as karpas and hard-boiled eggs. It was a wonderful rehearsal for the real seder to come the following evening.
A special thanks to Win Robbins for the beautiful pictures he took. Win has provided the Beit Shemesh Center with some very special photos for the families of Melabev members. Another heartfelt thanks goes to a generous family from Beit Shemesh, who enabled us to send each of our seniors home with a Pesach package of shmura matza, a large bottle of grape juice and a beautiful haggada to use at their own family seders.
Melebev Beit Shemesh hope everyone had a nice holiday! Next year in Jerusalem!
