"Friends of Melabev Bet Shemesh, led by music volunteer par excellent Judy Clark, organized a thoroughly enjoyable benefit concert on March 10th. "Grace Notes - Tzlilei Chesed" was an evening of jazz and classical music, performed by talented local instrumentalists, all volunteers. Soloists, ensembles and bands performed on a wide variety of instruments including piano, violin, clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, concertina and even banjo! The audience, which included many Melabev members and their families, enjoyed classics like Pachelbel's Canon and Mancini's "Pink Panther Theme" as well as music by Mozart, Chopin, Gershwin and Scott Joplin. The event was MC'd by the Melabev Bet Shemesh clients themselves, and during the intermission, clients and volunteers helped with sales of cookies and gifts made by the elderly. The concert was preceded by a heart-warming slide show which allowed the audience to better understand the wonderful work done by the staff and volunteers at Melabev Bet Shemesh.

Everybody left the concert with huge smiles on their faces, with their feet tapping - we look forward to making this an annual event!

We thank all the friends/family of Melabev Bet Shemesh members who sponsored this event in honor or in memory of loved ones, and especially our business sponsors Aztek Technologies, Goldrock Capital, Oz Ceramics, and Bagel Stop/ Impressions Dairy Catering, who donated the delicious ice coffee!

We also give special thanks to Elazar Brandt aka Doctor Jazz, and his accompanist John Graham, who came especially from Jerusalem to play for us- www.doctorjazz.com
