We do this by organizing social, entertaining, cultural,informative and
fundraising events. We have succeeded in placing the name of Melabev on the
agenda of the English speaking community in Jerusalem. We look forward to
expanding our role to reach out to the larger community--which is growing
older--in confronting the challenges of aging, of Alzheimer's disease, dementia
or simple forgetfulness that increases in this aging population. Some of us are
relatively young, but many are among the well-elderly who continue to work and
to volunteer our time and energies, contributing to better care of those
elderly who are not as fortunate. Life Membership in the Friends of Melabev is
$150.
